English Teacher

Our small, SEMH partner school, based in Lingwood are looking to appoint a passionate and engaging English Teacher. To apply for this position, you should have an excellent knowledge of the GCSE English curriculum as well as the ability to manage challenging behaviour confidently. This position is long-term with the possibility of becoming permanent and you must be available to work a minimum of one term.

The School

Have a strong focus on encouraging the development and confidence of each pupil meaning that activities take place both on and off the school site, with regular day trips out. At this specialist school, the promotion of well-being as well as vocational and academic programmes is of huge importance, which parents and carers are frequently involved in.  This is a smaller school with spaces of up to 30 full-time pupils at one time, meaning that class sizes are smaller with around 6-8 pupils per class. Each class also as additional staffing, with at least 2 teaching assistants per class.

If you:

• Have QTS
• Have excellent knowledge of GCSE English
• Have personal or professional experience with SEMH/SEN or have a strong desire to work within SEMH/SEN
