English Teacher – Bournemouth
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Hours: Full time
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right person

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Bournemouth who are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team from January. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about inspiring young people and helping them achieve their best in English.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that motivate and challenge students of all abilities.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in departmental meetings, enrichment activities and pastoral support.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a love of learning and improve pupil progress.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS or QTLS (applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed).

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English literature and language.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
