Salary:

£120 - £230 per day

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • BA Honours Degree in English
  • Driving licence desirable
  • Enhanced child DBS

Skills:

  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4
  • Ability to teach up to A-level
  • Strong behaviour management
  • Ability to teach in line with the UK English curriculum
  • Able to teach English Language and English Literature
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students

Job Duties:

The English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to students. They will need to have experience teaching KS3 and KS4, and the ability to teach up to A-level. Strong behaviour management skills are essential to maintain a positive learning environment. The teacher must be able to teach English Language and English Literature in line with the UK curriculum.

Experience:

Previous experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students is essential. Experience teaching up to A-level is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

The candidate must have a strong understanding of the UK English curriculum and be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons. Excellent behaviour management skills are necessary to ensure a productive learning environment.

Working Conditions:

The English Teacher will work full-time hours on a contract basis. The role is based in West Midlands, specifically Birmingham. The teacher will primarily work within an educational setting, delivering lessons to students across different year groups.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
