We're recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Dudley (DY6) that is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated English Teacher. This is an exciting long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this school offers a supportive environment where you'll be encouraged to develop professionally while making a real difference to students' lives.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students to develop confidence in reading, writing and communication.
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that challenge learners of all abilities.
  • Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive English department committed to raising standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent.
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
