English Teacher – Secondary School

Location: Studley
Salary: £150.00 - £250.00 per dau (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: [September 2026 / ASAP]

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their successful English department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential Key Stage 5 teaching available for suitable candidates). The school is committed to providing a supportive learning environment and offers excellent professional development opportunities.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess students' work in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Support students to achieve strong academic outcomes.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the English department and school community.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour management.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
