English Graduate Teaching Assistant
Are you a recent English graduate considering a career in teaching?
Would you like to gain paid work experience in a local secondary school to help you decide if teaching if the right career for you?
If so, we encourage you to apply for our Future Teachers Programme.
What is the Future Teachers Programme?
The Future Teachers Programme is a year long programme designed to help address the shortage of teachers in the UK. Through the programme, English graduates will be placed in one of Teaching Personnel's client schools and will work as a graduate teaching assistant in our client schools English department for up to one academic year.
As an English specialist teaching assistant, graduates will support in class, deliver small group and one-to-one intervention, help prepare lesson plans and resources and cover lessons in the short term absence of teachers. This will provide all participants with the necessary experience to continue on to formal teacher training. Graduates will also be given the opportunity to gain a place on our client schools initial teacher training (SCITT).
All graduates will be assigned a teacher mentor to support them throughout and will receive ongoing support from Teaching Personnel.
Graduates will receive a weekly payment of up to £300 per week.
To apply for our Future Teachers Programme or to find out additional information, please send through a copy of your CV via the link below or contact the Manchester South Secondary branch.
