Our client secondary schools in the South Manchester area are looking to recruit English subject graduates to work within their English department. The successful English graduate will be providing vital Literacy intervention and English support to those students due to undertake their exams at the end of the year. There are also opportunities to continue working in September when the new cohort of year 7 students join and require additional support and Literacy assistance.

Important points of this English graduate position:

• Pay range between £55 - £70 per day depending on experience and ability
• Full time and part time opportunities available
• Gain valuable experience within a secondary school setting
• Ideal experience and knowledge gained which would support a future teacher application onto a PGCE for example

The role of the English graduate would be supporting students within a classroom setting, assisting lower level students with spelling and reading and writing. There is also the possibility of supporting older GCSE level students with poetry and creative writing.

The successful graduate of the English faculty would also be supporting students on a 1:1 basis with their English work and gain the experience of working in small groups leading your own work and teaching in a small capacity.

The secondary schools we work closely with are situated in the local area of Chorlton, Didsbury and Fallowfield making them very easy to get to for those graduates on public transport.
