Job description

English & Maths Tutor – SK1 (Stockport)

Are you passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in core subjects? We’re looking for a dedicated English & Maths Tutor to support learners in the SK1 (Stockport) area.

This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver personalised, face-to-face tuition and make a real difference in students’ academic journeys.


What You’ll Do
Deliver engaging 1:1 or small group sessions in English and Maths

Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs

Support students with SEN, SEMH, or gaps in education

Encourage confidence, engagement, and academic progress

Track development and provide clear feedback


About You
You have experience teaching or tutoring English and Maths

You have experience working with children or young people

You are patient, adaptable, and confident delivering personalised sessions

SEN experience is desirable

You hold (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS

You have the right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
