Engineering Teacher
Location: Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Long-Term or Permanent
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Salary: Teacher Pay Scale up to UPS3
We are recruiting for an Engineering Teacher to join a successful further education setting from September 2026.
This opportunity would suit either a qualified teacher or an experienced engineering professional looking to move into teaching and share their industry knowledge with the next generation of engineers.
The Role
- Deliver engaging engineering lessons to learners
- Support students to achieve their academic and vocational goals
- Monitor progress and provide effective feedback
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Prepare students for further study and careers within engineering
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, QTS or equivalent), or is willing to work towards one
- Has relevant engineering qualifications and/or industry experience
- Can engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
- Has strong communication and organisational skills
- Is confident using IT and digital learning systems
- Holds GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
