Engineering Teacher

Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Salary: Teacher Pay Scale up to UPS3

We are recruiting for an Engineering Teacher to join a successful further education setting from September 2026.

This opportunity would suit either a qualified teacher or an experienced engineering professional looking to move into teaching and share their industry knowledge with the next generation of engineers.

The Role

• Deliver engaging engineering lessons to learners
• Support students to achieve their academic and vocational goals
• Monitor progress and provide effective feedback
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Prepare students for further study and careers within engineering

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, QTS or equivalent), or is willing to work towards one
• Has relevant engineering qualifications and/or industry experience
• Can engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
• Has strong communication and organisational skills
• Is confident using IT and digital learning systems
• Holds GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
