Job description

 Education Support Opportunities – SEND & SEMH Settings (East Sussex)

Teaching Personnel are currently building a strong pool of education support staff for SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex.

These settings support pupils who may present with additional emotional, behavioural or learning needs, and who benefit from calm, consistent adults around them.

If you are someone who brings energy, patience and professionalism into the classroom, we would love to hear from you.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils to access learning in a structured way

  • Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation

  • Encouraging positive routines and social skills

  • Supporting teachers during lessons and activities

  • Helping pupils feel safe, understood and motivated

We’re Looking For People Who Are:

  • Reliable, adaptable and proactive

  • Confident building relationships with young people

  • Emotionally intelligent and reflective

  • Comfortable in busy, fast-paced environments

  • Interested in long-term work within education or SEND

Previous school experience is useful, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
