Teaching Assistant (Unqualified, Level 1–3 & HLTA)

The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants at all levels (Unqualified, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and HLTA) to support primary schools across Huntingdon and the surrounding areas.
This is a dynamic role where you will support teaching and learning across a range of year groups, with opportunities to progress and build on your experience in education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom
- Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher (HLTA level)
- Working with small groups to support pupil development and progress
- Providing 1:1 support for pupils where required
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
- Supporting pupils across EYFS to Year 6
- Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff
- Demonstrating flexibility across different schools and classroom settings
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience working with children (school-based experience preferred but not essential for unqualified roles)
- Hold a relevant qualification (L1, L2, L3, or HLTA) or are eager to gain experience in education
- Are confident, proactive, and adaptable
- Have a passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Are reliable and able to commit to full-time working hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
