EYFS Teaching assistant needed for an Ofsted rated 'Good' primary school based in Whitefield, Bury (M45) starting in September 2018.

  • The primary school (M45) has successfully expanded their nursery and now take children from the age of 2, needing more support for the larger classrooms
  • 25 place nursery so experience working with large classes is essential
  • Must be familiar with current EYFS curriculum
  • Experience of using 'Jolly' and 'Letters and Sounds' Phonics is desirable

An expanding and exciting nursery team in a Whitefield Primary School is looking for an early years teaching assistant to join their team on a long term contract. The head teacher is looking for a teaching assistant with a passion for learning and working with very young children in an engaging and fun way. A firm understanding of the current early years curriculum is essential and experience of using different phonics schemes is desirable.

This Bury based primary school has excellent facilities and has a 2017 Ofsted report of 'Good' finding high standards of care and behaviour. The primary school also has a strong focus on extra curriculum activities in and out of school hours with opportunities to join in with sports, art, music and drama projects.

  • Salary from £14,000 - £18,000
  • Starting date - 1st September 2018
  • Potential of a permanent contract
