Job description

Do you have experience as a Nursery Nurse or Early Years TA? Can you travel to Hackney? If so, then we have an ideal role for you.
A school in N15 (Stoke Newington) need to further assist their Early Years class full-time until the Easter holiday and need someone ideally who has previous experience of this. The school is easy to get to on public transport and also has plenty of parking space for staff. It is a warm, friendly and welcoming school that received GOOD at its last Ofsted in 2018. The school need someone to provide extra assistance in the class a previous assistant has now left the school, so for this reason there is a high chance of the booking being extended.
The school need someone with experience of working in Early Years, so that they can be trusted to get going in the role straightaway without any training. This would involve experience of phonics programmes, particularly Read Write Inc. (which the school uses), as well as guided play. There are also some children in the class with SEN needs and although there are a number of assistants in the class, experience of working with SEN, and particularly autistic, children would also go a long way for the school.
It is important that the candidate is comfortable in an Early Years setting and allowing the children some freedom using a play-based approach. Anyone with experience in Early Years is encouraged to apply for this role, especially graduate TAs who may be open to teaching roles in this area in future.
If you are experienced in Early Years, free full-time, and can travel to Stoke Newington, then please apply where indicated and submit an up-to-date CV detailing your previous roles. We will then be in touch!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
