Early Years Specialist Support Staff – Croydon & Surrounding Areas

Location: Croydon & Surrounding Areas
Pay: £90 – £120 per day PAYE
Roles Available: Daily Supply, Part-Time, Full-Time & Long-Term

Teaching Personnel are looking to speak with Early Years specialists who are interested in working within primary schools, nurseries and Early Years settings across Croydon and the surrounding areas.

We work with a range of local settings who regularly need experienced and enthusiastic staff to support children across Nursery and Reception.

We're happy to work around what you're actually looking for.

You might want five days a week, a couple of regular days, flexible work around other commitments or your next long-term Early Years position.

Whatever you're looking for, we'd be happy to have a conversation and see what opportunities could work for you.

Who are we looking for?

We're keen to hear from people with experience in Early Years, including:

• Early Years Educators

• Nursery Practitioners

• Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Early Years staff

• EYFS Teaching Assistants

• Nursery Nurses

• Childcare Practitioners

• Early Years Support Workers

• Staff with experience supporting children with SEN

• Experienced Early Years staff looking to move from private nursery settings into schools

If you've worked with children aged 2–5 and are confident supporting their learning, development and wellbeing, we'd be interested in speaking with you.

What could you be doing?

Depending on the setting and your experience, your role could include:

• Supporting children through play and structured activities

• Helping to create a positive and engaging Early Years environment

• Supporting children's communication and language development

• Encouraging independence and confidence

• Supporting early literacy, phonics and number development

• Providing individual or small-group support

• Supporting children with SEN and additional needs

• Helping children with routines and transitions

• Working alongside teachers and Early Years practitioners

• Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development

We're particularly interested in people who understand that Early Years is about much more than simply supervising children and who genuinely enjoy helping young children learn, explore and develop.

Do I need to have worked in a school?

Not necessarily.

If your experience has mainly been within a private nursery, preschool, children's centre, childcare setting or another Early Years environment, we'd still be very interested in speaking with you.

Many of the skills you've developed within a nursery environment can transfer extremely well into a school-based Nursery or Reception setting.

We'll talk through your experience and the type of environment you're most comfortable working within.

You don't necessarily need to be available five days a week to work with Teaching Personnel.

If you're available for one, two or three days around other commitments, or you're looking for flexible work while deciding what you'd like to do next, we'd still be happy to hear from you.
