Early Years Practitioner – Primary School

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is committed to providing high-quality early years education and helping young children thrive during the most important stages of their development.
About the Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS learning activities.
- Foster children's social, emotional, and educational development.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with EYFS requirements.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals where required.
- Support children with varying learning needs to ensure inclusive participation.
Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience working within an EYFS setting.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
