Job Title: Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner
Location: Coventry
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible options available)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about early childhood development and committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Support children’s learning and development through play-led learning experiences
- Act as a key person, building secure relationships with assigned children and their families
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, ensuring individual needs are met
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to learning journals using internal systems
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the setting
Daily Responsibilities:
- Facilitate play-led learning to support children’s curiosity, creativity, and development
- Provide high-quality personal care, including nappy changing, toileting, feeding, and supporting independence
- Ensure children’s health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritised at all times
- Follow safeguarding policies and procedures, remaining vigilant and reporting any concerns promptly
- Support positive behaviour and model appropriate social interactions
- Prepare and set up activities, resources, and learning environments throughout the day
- Assist with mealtimes, rest periods, and daily routines
- Use internal systems to log children’s daily information, including meals, sleep, activities, and observations, and share updates with parents/carers
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g., CACHE, NVQ)
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Confident in using digital systems to record children’s development and daily care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for working with children
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid certification
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Knowledge of child development and inclusive practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
