Position: Early Career Teacher (ECT) – SEN Specialism

Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a passion for Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you looking to secure a contract position from September that will offer you valuable classroom experience and professional development?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a wide range of SEN and mainstream schools across Lancashire that are eager to welcome enthusiastic and committed ECTs to their teams for the new academic year.

Whether you’re seeking a role in a specialist provision or looking to build your experience within a mainstream setting supporting pupils with additional needs, we have a variety of opportunities to suit your career goals.

We can offer you:

  • Full-time, long-term positions from September 2025

  • Temporary and temp-to-perm contracts to support your induction year

  • Opportunities in SEN schools, resource bases, and mainstream settings

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS (due to qualify this summer)

  • A specialism or clear passion for SEN teaching and support

  • Confidence managing behaviour and using inclusive strategies

  • A proactive, reflective, and resilient attitude to working in diverse school environments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
