If you have experience supporting pupils with English as an additional language in a mainstream Primary, Secondary or in SEN schools and are looking for a position that will compliment and reward your skillset – this role may be of interest to you.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to take on a specialised role to support pupils with EAL in order to ensure that their understanding of the national curriculum is equal to that of their peers.
The role is fulltime and is expected to last until the end of the academic year. In your role, you will be expected to monitor and assess the progress of pupils you are supporting and assist in their progression through learning. You will also need to offer general support and aid in the overall running of the class alongside the class teacher.
If you have:
- Prior Teaching Assistant Experience
- Experience supporting EAL
- Completed training courses relevant to a career in education such as: Prevent Training, Safeguarding, Child Protection, De-escalation
- NVQ Level 3 – Relevant to working within schools
- Experience offering 1:1 support to SEN pupils with challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
