EAL Classroom Support

Q - Are you a passionate EAL Classroom support assistant where you can help EAL students achieve their best?

Q - Would you like to work in a supportive and inclusive environment?

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a MAT who requires flexible EAL support across a number of sites. We are looking to recruit 2 EAL Teaching Assistants for a September start!

The MAT has a high number of EAL students who require extra support with their learning, especially with reading and writing. Your role will include working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis with the students to help to raise attainment and encourage their learning.

This role is part time and will be a termly rolling role. For the perfect candidate there is the possibility of Temp to Perm.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of teaching / tutoring or working with children who have English as an additional language.

Person Specification - EAL Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • EAL Qualification
  • Passion for teaching
  • Passion for helping EAL students understand the English language and be included in all school activities
  • Ability to use your own initiative
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant / tutor
