Design & Technology (DT) Teacher


Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire (CV10)
Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term
Salary: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Nuneaton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and innovative teacher to make a real impact in the classroom, inspiring students to develop their practical and creative abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).

  • Create differentiated learning experiences to support and challenge all students, ensuring every learner achieves their potential.

  • Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment, demonstrating excellent practice in the use of tools, equipment, and machinery.

  • Promote high standards of health and safety within all aspects of the subject area.

  • Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities and departmental development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant degree or equivalent qualification.

  • Proven experience teaching Design & Technology within a UK secondary school setting.

  • A strong classroom presence and the ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities.

  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding principles and commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment.

  • Confidence and competence working within a workshop setting, with a clear understanding of health and safety protocols.

  • While extensive experience is preferred, ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are warmly encouraged to apply.
