Design and Technology Teacher

We are closely collaborating with a Secondary School situated in a village in Bedfordshire, who are seeking a Food Technology Teacher available for 2 terms from February 2024 - July 2024 for a long-term contract. The role involves teaching Art to KS4 and Photography to KS5 on a full-time basis, with a permanent offer for the right Teacher.

Contract

On this full-time contract, you will be treated as a permanent member of staff with access to all CPD opportunities and PPA time included on your timetable. The role requires a Design and Technology Teacher who will take on a mixed timetable with Woodwork, Textiles and Food Technology. The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Design and Technology Teacher or an Instructor with experience teaching at least 1 of the preferred lessons above. This contract would be for at least 2 school terms.

Pay

You will be paid according to the National Teacher Pay Scale salary between M1-UPS1 on a daily rate equivalent.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A QTS or PGCE Food Technology or Design Technology Qualification
  • An Instructor with at least 1 year of experience teaching up to KS4 as a Technology Teacher
  • Extensive knowledge of the GCSE Design and Technology curriculum
  • A passion for teaching DT, Woodwork, Textiles or Food Technology and promoting learning in this subject for excellent results
  • Good or outstanding classroom practise with high expectations for achievement and behaviour
  • The ability to plan and deliver creative and stimulating Design and Technology lessons
