Drama Teacher

An exceptional opportunity to join a large vibrant secondary school in Salford from September 2020 or earlier.

Due to a member of staff set to maternity leave in the new academic year, the headteacher wishes to appoint a full time Drama Teacher to work within their welcoming staff team delivering Drama up to KS4 level.

• Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP24, 373 - GBP40, 490.

The  department at school aims to offer students the opportunities to develop a range of ideas through innovative teaching and learning. As the successful candidate your roles and responsibilities will include;

• Ensure all individual lessons are planned and prepared adequately including the appropriate use of relevant resources.
• Adopt a forward thinking approach and plan lessons in line with schemes of work in accordance with the new  Drama curriculum (1-9)
• Regularly set and mark appropriate work for pupils in order to assess their progression and understanding.

The school serves the local catchment area of Worsley and currently serves just over  700 pupils aged  11-16. Salford can easily be accessed via the M602 motorway and the A580 (East Lancashire Road).
