Upcoming maternity cover at a Wythenshawe school for a Drama specialist starting following the Easter break.
Our client secondary school located in the Wythenshawe area of south Manchester is looking for a Drama teacher to start with them following the Easter break. The successful Drama teacher will be teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4 for the duration of the summer term with the prospect of moving onto a school based contract for the period of this maternity cover. The school is located in the Wythenshawe area of Manchester, close to the local tram stop and very easily accessible for any teachers on public transport. The school has a positive reputation in the local area, making it the school of choice for many parents and staff alike.

Highlights of this Drama teaching position:
- Full time Drama teacher required for a maternity cover
- For the duration of the final term in the first instance but with the opportunity to fulfil the maternity cover
- Pay will be dependent upon payscale and experience but will likely range between GBP2200 - GBP3200 per month

As part of a new initiative, Drama is now on the timetable from year 7 at KS3 which has proven to be a decisive success. The school has a particularly high uptake of students onto Drama at KS4 as a result of the hard work that the entire Drama department has put into the subject.
The school being located in the Wythenshawe area makes it very easy to commute to via the M60 and M56 motorway networks as well as the A56 which goes from the city centre of Manchester right through Chorlton, Stretford and down into Sale and Altrincham/Wythenshawe.
This Drama teaching role will have planning, marking and assessment responsibilities with it given the longer term nature of the position.
