Exciting opportunity to join a modern secondary school in the new academic year, supporting the school’s drama department.
- Full-time Drama teacher.
- September 2021 start.
- Small secondary school in Bury – 650 pupils on roll.
- Supporting students aged 11-16.
- Small secondary school in Bury.
- Paid to teaching scale point (GBP25,714 - GBP41,604).
The school has been recently refurbished with modern facilities and updated equipment alongside interactive whiteboards in all classrooms. All members of staff are given a formal induction and are given all the relevant support they require before starting a new role. The school runs several trips to local theatres alongside a production each year which the incoming teacher will be involved in.
The incoming teacher will be planning and delivering Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE so will need experience of preparing lessons across all age groups within a secondary school. The successful candidate will also be provided with a teaching assistant in most lessons to support with any pupils that have additional needs or SEN.
You must hold QTS and both newly qualified and experienced teachers are being considered for this position. The school is in Bury and is accessible via both the M66 and A56 from areas such as Bolton and central Manchester. For non-drivers, the school is accessible via several forms of public transport with direct links from the surrounding areas of Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
