One of Teaching Personnels partner schools are seeking to recruit a Teacher of Drama to work with them on a full time permanent basis. Owing to the lack of specialists in this area, the school are open to qualified teachers or instructors with school based experience. Ideally you will have familiarity with the subjects curriculum and have assessed to GCSE level.

The school are committed to ensuring all students receive a perscriptive education with a combination of excellent teaching, pastoral support and state of the art facilities. Their aim is for all pupils to achieve beyond their potential academically, but also to develop essential life skills to make them well rounded members of their community.

As a Teacher of Drama at Havant Academy you will be required to:

• Plan and deliver high quality lessons within your subject
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils with additional requirements
• Set high expectations of all pupils in class and around the school
• Have excellent knowledge and understanding of the curriculum
• Take part in activities essential to the schools curricular standards
• Hold additional pastoral responsibilities of your tutor group

Ideally you will meet the following criteria:

• Qualified Teacher Status or experienced Instructor
• Teaching qualification or degree in your subject area
• Excellent record of progress and attainment in prior teaching placements
• Excellent communication skills
• Awareness of teaching capabilities and the desire to always improve
• A good understanding of SEN

The school are looking to hold interview via online platforms until the most suitable candidate can be appointed. Following the successful probation period you will be transferred onto a direct contract with the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
