Teaching Personnel are working with one of our partner secondary schools who are looking to appoint a full-time Teacher / Instructor.
Start date: Monday 15th April
Hours: 08:30am - 15:30pm
Location: NN10, Northamptonshire, East Midlands
This is a varied teaching role, suitable for a DT Specialist. There would be a mixture of Woodwork, Resistant Materials, IT & General Cover, with the main emphasis being on Woodwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging and innovative lesson plans that foster creativity and practical skills in woodwork.
- Guide students through hands-on projects, from conceptualization to completion, instilling a sense of pride in craftsmanship.
- Incorporate safety protocols and best practices into all activities, ensuring a secure learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate woodwork and other mentioned subjects into cross-curricular initiatives and project-based learning opportunities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
- Inspire a love for design, craftsmanship, and problem-solving in every student you teach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in woodwork, with a strong portfolio of projects.
- Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
