Design Technology Teacher - South Tyneside

Are you a driven DT Teacher with a passion for education? Do you have experience working in secondary schools? Have you been looking for a new role within education? If so, you could be perfect for this vacancy!

At the request of one of our client schools, Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Teacher of Design & Technology to fill a role that has become available.

The school itself is located in the South Tyneside area and has been consistently rated as 'Good' by Ofsted with the DT department posting a positive progress 8 score over the last two years. They are looking for a Teacher to join them ASAP, with the successful candidate initially being employed on a fixed term contract with the potential to go permanent.

Candidate Requirements:

  • QTS status or equivalent 
  • Experience teaching DT National Curriculum in a secondary school
  • Specialisms within Resistant Materials or Graphics is a major advantage, but not essential
  • Able to build effective relationships with staff and pupils quickly
  • Willing to contribute to the department through collaborative planning and regular meetings

Benefits/Reimbursements:

  • Guaranteed full time work until February half term, with the potential to turn permanent
  • Support in a strong, successful DT department
  • Access to CPD through Teaching Personnel as well as the school
  • GBP110 - GBP170 per day depending on responsibilities, before moving onto the school's Pay Scale system

This role would be ideal for either a NQT looking to take the next step in their career, or a more experienced Teacher who is looking for a new challenge.
