Design and Technology Teacher

Job description

Design and technology teacher required for immediate start in a popular secondary school in Derby.

Teaching Personnel are happy to advertise for a mixed, specialist academy in Derby who are looking to hire an experienced teacher.

The role will predominantly be to teach a mixture of design and technology at key stage 3 and resitant materials at key stage 4.

Key responsibilities:

  • Planning, resourcing, and delivering imaginative, interactive and inspiring lessons that ensure that effective learning takes place and students make excellent progress
  • Providing a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that helps students to develop as learners
  • Establishing and maintaining positive behaviour
  • Being accountable for student progress and attainment levels

  • Due to their reputation the school is constantly oversubscribed seeing in excess of 700 applicants for 360 places

  • Daily rate of GBP125-GBP155
  • Full time position
