Our client Secondary school, situated in central Bury have an upcoming requirement within the Design and Technology department for a Resistant Materials and KS3 Design and Technology teacher on a full time basis from January 2019.

This full time Design and Technology teaching position is initially being offered on a temporary basis from January 2019 until the end of the academic year. There is the opportunity to gain a permanent contract with the school in the new academic year (2019/2020) for the successful Design and Technology teacher.

  • Full time Resistant Materials and Design & Technology teaching position
  • January 2019 start with the opportunity of a fixed term contract in the new academic year (2019/2020)
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)
  • Full departmental responsibilities, planning and marking
  • Both experienced and newly qualified teachers welcome to apply for this position.

"Due to a departmental restructure, our Design and Technology faculty wish to appoint a teacher that can teach Resistant Materials to GCSE level, along with general Design and Technology to KS3 level. It is essential that the successful Design and Technology teacher can demonstrate their ability to produce inclusive lessons that cater for the needs of each pupil." Head teacher

The small mixed comprehensive Secondary school is located in the heart of Bury town centre. There are currently fewer than 700 pupils on roll, and the school has been consistently graded 'Good' throughout Ofsted inspections. With plans to rebuild the school in the foreseeable future, a number of the classrooms have been renovated, meaning state of the art Technology rooms are available for practical lessons.
