Design and Technology teacher

Qualified Design and Technology teacher required for full time position at Secondary school in Manchester.

Due to a change in our client secondary schools Technology department, there is an upcoming need for a Design and Technology teacher, ideally one with a specialism in Resistant Materials or Product Design as workshop experience will be highly beneficial for this timetable.

Situated on the outskirts of Manchester, our client secondary is a small, state-maintained comprehensive which is smaller than the average secondary. Due to a long standing reputation in the local community, our client is oversubscribed and a regular high achiever in the LEA performance tables. Though a relatively older building, the school is full of charm and was recently renovated to modernise the setting and cultivate a strong climate for learning.

The incoming Design and Technology teacher will be responsible for teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4, with a timetable consisting of Resistant Materials and Product Design mainly. There will be elements of both practical and theory lessons so the incoming Design and Technology will need to have experience delivering both subjects to students aged 11-16.
