Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of one of our partner Schools in Darwen, Lancashire to appoint a hard working, enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Head Teacher. The School is based in Darwen, East Lancashire and it caters for KS3/4 pupils with SEMH Difficulties, ASD, ADHD, ODD and Challenging Behaviours. The School caters specifically for pupils who are no longer in mainstream education and candidates must be willing to work with pupils who are often difficult in their behaviours.

The School is smaller than average, with approximately 65 pupils on roll, all male and the successful candidate for this role must be willing to deliver some lessons as well as holding the Deputy Head Teacher role. The role will start in September, full time and it is likely to be on a temporary - permanent basis. The School would ideally be looking to make you a permanent member of staff around the February half term.

The candidate must have experience/be qualified in the following:

T&L - lead by example and be up to date on T&L QA. Develop staff through bespoke CPD programmes.

Lead on quality of assessment and QA of this area.

Lead on PHSE, planning, mapping and QA

Student voice/staff voice/parent voice.

Curriculum design

*Ideally hold your Team Teach qualification

Pay will be negotiable for this role based on your experience and expectations.
