Day to Day Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for learning support assistants. You would be based in Newham working in special education schools working on a day to day basis with the potential to turn into long term roles. This role would suite someone who is a student who wants to work SEN when they graduate or a social health carer who is looking to work Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:00. 

If you enjoy facing new challenges and working in the heart of the community to provide support for children and young adults who have severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PLMD) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC). 

Your main duties will include: 

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups supporting students.
  • Being able to cater to individual student needs.
  • Encourage and support students.
  • Provide support for teaching staff.
  • Prepare learning material and equipment for lessons.

You don't need any teaching qualifications to apply for this role working with children with be advantageous for your application.
