About the Role:
Are you passionate about movement, creativity, and inspiring young people to express themselves through dance? We are working with a vibrant secondary school in Smethwick that is looking for an enthusiastic Dance Teacher to join their performing arts department. This is an exciting opportunity to bring energy and creativity into the classroom while helping students build confidence, discipline, and a love for the arts.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver exciting, engaging dance lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Inspire students to explore different dance styles and techniques while developing performance and choreography skills.
Plan and lead innovative lessons that encourage creativity, teamwork and self-expression.
Prepare students for practical assessments, performances and GCSE (or equivalent) examinations.
Organise and contribute to school productions, showcases and extracurricular dance clubs.
Create an inclusive and positive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to shine.
Role Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in Dance or Performing Arts.
A strong passion for dance and the ability to inspire creativity in young people.
Knowledge of a range of dance styles (contemporary, street, jazz, cultural dance forms, etc.).
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A collaborative team player who enjoys contributing to the wider school community.
Have a DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
Experience delivering dance at secondary level.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
