Job description

Full-Time Cover Supervisor Wanted! (NG4, NG5, NG6 - Secondary Schools)

Location: NG4, NG5, NG6 (Nottingham and surrounding areas)
Position: Cover Supervisor in Secondary Schools
Availability: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate or ASAP
Salary: Competitive daily rate (depending on experience)

Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor with a passion for education and a flexible, can-do attitude? We want to hear from you!

We are currently seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our team and work across a variety of secondary schools in the NG4, NG5, and NG6 postcode areas.

 

✅ Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in UK schools or experience in coaching, mentoring, working with secondary-school aged students

  • Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)

  • Access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel locally

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Confident delivering lessons across various subjects using set work

  • A genuine interest in supporting young people’s learning

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences

  • Ensure pupils remain on task and follow the set work

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively

  • Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

  • Safeguard the students, following the school's safeguarding procedures

 

Registration Requirements:

As part of our safeguarding and compliance process, all candidates will be required to complete the following during registration:

  • Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one)

  • Right to work in the UK documentation

  • Two professional references, including one from your most recent school-based role

  • Proof of qualifications and relevant experience

  • Completion of a short safeguarding training course
