Cover supervisors needed to work in secondary schools throughout Greater Manchester to cover absent members of permanent staff. Cover supervisors take on the role of fully qualified teachers for the day delivering pre planned lessons, set work following the each individual schools policies and procedures on safeguarding and behaviour.
If you are currently working in an educational setting, sport coach, health and social care setting we welcome your application. Cover supervisors are essential to the staffing and running of a schools timetable to ensure students are given the best opportunity to succeed and achieve their expected levels of progress.
If you are a graduate looking to gain secondary school experience before commencing a PGCE or teacher training programme working as a cover supervisor is the best possible way of working alone in the classroom.
Highlights of working as a cover supervisor;
**Weekly pay up to £325 per week paid on a weekly basis
**Flexible work schedule providing the opportunity to work in a variety of secondary schools
**Regular CPD, training and development courses
**First hand teaching experience to support a teacher training programme
Essential criteria for the role of cover supervisor;
**Clear passion for education and working with young people
**Some form of relatable experience to working in secondary schools
**Suitable work based/education references
**Eligibility for a fully enhanced DBS certificate
