Cover Supervisor/Unqualified Teaching

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a number of secondary schools that are located within the Wigan LEA, supporting them with the introduction of Cover Supervisors and Unqualified Teachers.

Cover Supervisors/Unqualified Teacher's will be required to lead lessons when planned and unplanned absences arise. The majority of the work will already be set by the absent class teacher or head of department and it will be your role to supervise the classroom, ensuring that safeguarding and behaviour policies are followed.

To be considered you will be a confident, clear communicator that is committed to bettering the outcomes of pupils within the school. You will be able to effectively manage the behaviour of their students, minimising disruption where a teacher is absent. It is crucial that you have a natural ability to enthuse and motivate young learners.
