✨ Cover Supervisor – Primary School in Slough ✨
Location: Slough, Berkshire
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Slough, who are looking for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with classroom experience—such as a teaching assistant, unqualified teacher, or HLTA—who is looking to take the next step in their education career. The role involves delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher and ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole-class learning during teacher absences across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure that learning objectives are met.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

  • Support pupils to stay focused and complete set work.

  • Provide feedback to teachers regarding pupil progress and classroom activity.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel supported.

  • Assist with other school duties where needed, such as playground or lunch supervision.


The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working in a primary school environment (as a TA, HLTA, Cover Supervisor, or similar).

  • Be confident managing classes and engaging with young learners.

  • Have strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Be flexible, reliable, and proactive in their approach.

  • Hold (or be willing to apply for) a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
