Nursery Room Leader – Primary School in Slough
Location: Slough, Berkshire
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Hours: Shift pattern between 7:15am and 6:15pm
Start Date: Mid December | January 2026
Salary: £13–£16 per hour (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Slough, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join their Early Years team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional with a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification, who is confident leading a team and supporting children’s development within a caring and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire a team of practitioners within the nursery room to deliver high-quality care and education.

Plan, prepare and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.

Support children’s learning and development through play, interaction, and observation.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to children’s learning journeys and progress tracking.

Ensure that all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a positive, nurturing environment.

Oversee daily routines and room organisation, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Support the Early Years Lead and wider school team with planning and assessment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent).

Have proven experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.

Have excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.

Be confident, organised, and able to lead and motivate a small team.
-
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
