Here at Teaching Personnel we work as partners to schools all across South Wales, and as such have a number of opportunities for cover supervisors to work on short term cover, including daily supply and fixed term appointments.

The role of a cover supervisor will include, delivering pre-planned work schemes in cross-curricular, behaviour and classroom management ensuring the schools behaviour policy is adhered to and ensuring students are focused and stay engaged with work set. You do not have to be a specialist in the subjects covered but a good level of understanding is desirable.

Previously we have found those that have been successful as Cover Supervisors have come from professions such as EX- teachers, Teaching Assistants, Sports Coaches, Youth Workers and Public Services.

For this role it is essential that full transparency around your availability is given. A level of flexibility is required as these roles often available on an ad-hoc basis.
