Cover Supervisor Needed ASAP!

Are you a graduate looking to gain experience within the classroom? Perhaps you are an experienced practitioner without a formal teaching qualification? Or are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for a new challenge?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Cover Supervisor for one of our local client schools in the Blaydon area. The school is highly regarded in the area and highly accessible via both local public transport links as well as by car.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to introduce them to an outstanding school who have a high need for Cover Supervisors to help manage their staff absence and PPA time. If you are currently looking for a flexible role in education where you can establish yourself as a positive presence, then this would be the perfect chance. 

Responsibilities may include:

• Covering lessons in the absence of the usual member of staff
• Completing all of the required work left by the Class Teacher to the highest standard
• Effectively managing the behaviour of the class in the absence of their normal Teacher
• Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis in lesson
• Work across all year groups as and when needed

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience within Secondary Schools or a desire to become a Teacher
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Flexibility to attend a number of schools depending on requirements
