Cover supervisor required in January for a full time position in south Manchester.
Are you a previously experienced cover supervisor looking for a position in the New Year? Or do you have ambitions to become a teacher, or have a PGCE place secured for September 2018 and want to make best use of the time available until then?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a mixed 11-16 secondary school in Manchester; due to a late staffing change they have a full time Cover Supervisor position starting in January. As a Cover Supervisor, you will work alongside teaching staff and cover lessons in their absence; previous experience is desirable and the flexibility to work in a range of subjects. A large part of this position will involve following pre-set work, adhering to school policies for behaviour management and ensuring lessons run smoothly and objectives are met for all pupils. Previous experience covering lessons isn't essential, but you must have worked within a classroom based setting previously to be considered.
- Cover supervisor, full time position for one term initially (until Easter)
- Previous Experience in a classroom environment required
- IDEAL opportunity for aspiring secondary teachers
- Temporary placement which could become permanent
- Starting in January on a full time on going basis
Situated in south Manchester, connected via the M60 and with good public transport links, this is a large mixed 11-16 secondary school with over 1000 children on roll. Due to a late change within their staff team, the school are looking to temporarily hire a cover supervisor, full time after the Christmas break. You'll be given full support and regular training by the school and the opportunity to secure a permanent job after the initial period.
If you would like to be considered for this Cover Supervisor position, please submit a CV for consideration or call 0161 242 1794 for more information.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
