Full time Cover Supervisor vacancy within a large school in Manchester, Easter 2019 start date

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large modern secondary school in Manchester that require a Cover Supervisor to join the school on a full time basis to cover lessons when planned and unplanned absences arise. This is an ongoing position starting in Easter until at least the end of the academic year, however the school have expressed there is an opportunity for a permanent contract in September for the incoming Cover Supervisor.

  • Full time Cover Supervisor vacancy, covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Earn up to £70 a day, dependent on experience and responsibilities
  • Working as a Cover Supervisor in a large modern secondary school in Manchester

The incoming Cover Supervisor will be joining a very welcoming and supportive team within this large modern secondary school in Manchester. The school itself is easily accessible by either car or public transport with it being based in the heart of Blackley, close to major links to the city centre. With state of the art facilities throughout the incoming Cover Supervisor can benefit from excellent teaching and learning provisions as well as being offered excellent career development opportunities both within the school and through Teaching Personnel's CPD courses.

Working as a Cover Supervisor is a very rewarding role where you will step into the teacher's shoes for the day and deliver pre-set lesson plans when planned and unplanned absences arise. You will be required to assist the pupils in any individual needs they may have, whether these are learning, behaviour, SEN or SEMH related. This is an excellent opportunity for anybody seeking further experience in a secondary school setting as a Cover Supervisor before considering enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme.

Teaching Personnel would like to hear from anybody with previous experience as a Cover Supervisor as well as those with transferable experience, such as those having worked as a Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker or similar.
