Cover Supervisors Wanted – Liverpool Secondary Schools | September 2025 Start

Are you confident, adaptable, and ready to step into the classroom?

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Liverpool from September 2025. We have a variety of opportunities available – including full-time, part-time, flexible, and potentially permanent roles – perfect for people at different stages of their career.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds, including:

  • Experienced Cover Supervisors with a track record of effective classroom management

  • Aspiring future teachers seeking valuable school-based experience before teacher training

  • Retired teachers looking to stay involved in education without full teaching responsibilities

The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-set lessons in the absence of a classroom teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged. No planning or marking is required, but strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills are essential.

Requirements:

  • Confidence managing a secondary school classroom

  • Adaptability, reliability, and strong communication skills

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • A genuine interest in supporting young people and contributing to their education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
