Secondary Cover Supervisor

Full Time Role (Part Time will be considered)

Location: Southampton

Salary: GBP65 - GBP90 per day based on experience and qualifications

Start Date: April 2021

 

Teaching Personnel have been approached by a partner school to recruit a Cover Supervisor who can hit the ground running once students are back on site following COVID closures. The school itself is a 'Good' rated mixed Comprehensive Secondary School in the heart of Southampton. With less than 1000 pupils, there is a close knit feel with a very warm community of staff, students and parents.

 

 

Within this Cover Supervisor role, you will be required to take on a number of duties with full details below.

 

To be considered for this Cover Supervisor Opportunity:

  • Have experience of working with children as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Tutor, Scout/ Guide Leader, Youth Worker etc
  • Have the natural ability to think on their feet - no day in an education setting is ever the same
  • Be able to adapt quickly and be happy to take on cover for all subject areas
  • Enable students to achieve their full potential during the lesson with clear instruction and boundaries in line with school policies
  • To have a minimum C Grade for both English and Maths GCSE
  • To have a passion for working with young learners and want to improve their academic outcomes
  • The desire to quickly build rapport with mutual respect for all staff and students
  • To support the school in other roles such as Teaching Assistant support, Administrative support, exam invigilation etc
