Full-time Cover Supervisor required for a large secondary school in Orrell, Wigan.

  • Full-time Cover Supervisor position
  • Required to start in January with employment for the remainder of the academic year.
  • Opportunity to earn up to £300 a week
  • Experience working alongside pupils aged 11-16 is preferred but not essential

Our client secondary school seeks to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a full-time basis to work within the school providing support to teaching staff and covering lessons in the absence of the main class teacher.

When covering lessons within the school you will be required to follow a lesson plan that has been left behind from the class teacher ensuring that students complete the work provided. It is essential that you are able to lead a class with confidence ensuring that students are completing the work that has been set by the class teacher.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who wishes to gain classroom based experience or someone who is considering a career in teaching in the future.

  • The school that wish to recruit for this role currently caters for just over 950 pupils on roll
  • The vast majority of pupils come from a white British background.
  • It is located on the outskirts of Wigan town centre making it easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Ashton-in-Makerfield, Golborne and Tyldesley via the M6 motorway.
  • There are also direct transport links from Wigan town centre.
