Cover Supervisor - Salford

Do you have experience with children and young people? Do you require flexible working hours?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a number of Secondary Schools in Salford aiding them in recruiting new Cover Supervisors for September 2019.

A cover supervisor position is the ideal opportunity to gain the necessary skills and experience for those considering applying to teacher training courses or for those looking for some experience alongside a current course. Applicants will ideally have previous experience working within education.

  • Both full-time and part-time roles available to suit your availability from September 2019 until the end of the academic year.
  • Day-to-day flexible work also available.
  • Supporting the learning of pupils across all subject areas.
  • Earn up to £300 per week, dependant on previous experience.
  • Gain invaluable experience towards teaching training applications.

Within this role, successful applicants will hold a number of responsibilities including;

  • Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers
  • Managing behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils
  • Working alongside senior teachers to improve attainment across a range of abilities
  • Covering a range of classes in different subject areas
  • Supporting a range of pupils varying in ages (11-16) and learning ability.

Application Requirements

  • Ideally have previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting or have experience in a similar role with transferrable skills.
  • Any experience of working with individuals who have behavioural or learning difficulties desirable as these skills will be highly transferrable.

Our client schools are located in Salford with access from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Bury and central Manchester via the M602 and A580. For non-drivers, the schools can be accessed by a number of public transport links from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton and Bury.
