Cover Supervisor

A school located in Stockport is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join the team on a temporary basis.

The required individual will have:

•  A passion for working with children whilst looking to improve academic attainment.
•  The ability to inspire and engage secondary school children.
•  The ability to act as a role model both in the classroom and across the school site. 

We welcome applications from:

• Recent Graduates - this role presents itself as the ideal opportunity for recent graduates to develop their secondary school experience.
• Youth Workers - those who have experience within a youth/community setting are urged to apply.
• Support Workers - those who have worked within a support setting within a school previously e.g Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Specific Subject Tutors, Behaviour Mentors.

It is expected that the required candidate:

•  Will be able to successfully cover lessons across a variety of different subjects. 
•  Can monitor and maintain consistent student engagement. 
•  Can provide feedback to subject leaders and support staff when necessary. 
•  Can work effectiely with students with SEN and EAL needs.
•  Is able to calmly deal with any potential pastoral issues. 
•  Will display a positive and assured demeanour within the classroom, and will hold solid interpersonal skills. 

Pay: GBP275 - GBP350 per week.

•  Located in Stockport, the school is a short distance from Manchester city centre. 
•  There are several public transprt links within close proximity of the school site.
•  There are also motorway links within a short distance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
