Cover Supervisor

A school in Stockport is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join the team on a temporary basis.

The role will focus on the delivery of lessons across a variety of subjects, on a rolling 'Cover' basis.

Requirements for this position are as follows:

• A passion for working alongside young people.
• The ability to effectively manage behaviour/

Applications are welcomed from:

• Recent graduates (who are looking to build their classroom experience before a potential PGCE/or related teacher training course)
• Individuals who hold 'support based' experience e.g Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Tutors/Mentors
• Those who have worked within a specific youth/charity/community setting

Highlights of this particular role include:

• Covering lessons for absent staff, particualrly those who are having to self-isolate. 
• Delivering pre-set lessons plans across a variety of lessons.
• Developing strong, positive working relationships with both staff and students. 
• Working with students with SEN, and ensuring that these students are catered for in an efficient manner.
• Ensuring students consistently both to the school's behaviour policy and specific Covid-19 protocols.

• Is located close to an M60 junction. 
• Has several public transport links also located within close proximity.
