Cover Supervisor

Teaching Personnel are working with an Academy in the Bournemouth area who is seeking to appoint a graduate to join their team of enthusiastic Cover Supervisors for the new academic year.

The ideal candidate will be well organised, have an interest in working with young people and have good ICT skills. This post is suited to someone who is looking to develop their classroom skills before perusing teacher training.

The role of the Cover Supervisor is to oversee classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. This is a demanding role, as you deal with students of all ages and abilities in different subjects. You must have a desire to work with young people, a calm and authoritative manner, and be adaptable. The ideal candidate will be an individual who is considering a career in education.
