Cover Supervisor (Secondary)- Stockport

A large, mixed secondary school located on the outskirts of Stockport, are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to start with the school as soon as possible, on a flexible day to day basis.

Teaching Personnel are the preferred supplier of Cover Supervisors to this particular secondary school in Stockport. This means that the school's come to us first for all their short term staffing requirements and so we can keep you as busy as your availability allows!

Role and Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

  • Covering lessons in the event of short term teacher absence (e.g. sickness, training)
  • Delivering pre-set work to a class of students and ensuring they remain on task
  • Gaining invaluable classroom and behaviour management experience
  • Flexible, day to day cover at short notice (usually a call on the morning of)
  • You can expect to work a full school day (approx. 9am - 3pm)
  • Earn up to £1200 per month!
  • Great experience for graduates looking at getting into secondary teaching!

Applicant requirements:

  • Hold a degree or in process of completing one
  • Interested in getting into teaching / thinking of completing a PGCE
  • Previous experience working with young people in a similar capacity is desirable
  • Be confident managing a class of pupils

The successful Cover Supervisor will join a friendly and well established secondary school in Stockport who are very supportive of graduates and those interested in getting into teaching. You will report to the school's cover manager who will brief you on your timetable and responsibilities for the day.
